Author: Joyce L. Miller
Joyce Miller is an award-winning author who makes her home with her husband, Dan, and forty or so ornamental goldfish within sight of the jagged peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, her favorite place for hiking, off-roading, and family ski trips. Her work is most fun when she is writing her young characters into dangerous situations and watching as they courageously work their way out of them.
Much of Joyce’s year is spent traveling, always searching for new life experiences. She has watched kangaroos playing on Australian lawns, spotted whales breaching the water along the California coast, and ridden on the back of a tiny scooter in busy Thai city traffic while holding on to a large potted tropical tree.
She has been a teacher, an editor and writer working on NASA-funded projects, and a copyright clearance consultant. She coauthored a book that teaches authors about copyright clearance. A Dispelling of Darkness is her debut novel.
